Brevity & Wit Promo
Marketing • DEI • Brand Strategy & Design Firm
As a member of the Brevity & Wit design team, I was asked to produce a captivating motion graphic video that showcased the company's mission and notable design projects. The intent of this video was to leverage it as a promotional tool to attract prospective clientele seeking graphic design and brand strategy services.
Process
Project kickoff: The project commenced by meeting with Minal & Sophie on the team to understand the goals, target audience, look and feel of the video as well as any specific requirements or constraints.
Scriptwriting: Based on our kickoff discussion, Brevity & Wit Founder, Minal started to write a concise and engaging script. I assisted in this process by review & giving feedback based on my design knowledge.
Storyboarding: Once the script was finalized, I created a detailed storyboard with sketches and illustrations that show the key scenes and shots. The storyboard also indicated any animation effects that would be used.
Design & Animation: Once the storyboard was approved, I moved on to creating the graphics and any other visual elements that will be used in the video that also aligned with Brevity & Wit's brand guidelines such as colors and fonts. I then started to animate these elements while also adding text and other visual effects, and creating any transitions or effects that will be used. I communicated frequently with Minal and Sophie to make sure each element was on track with our goals.
Music Curation: Once the animation is complete, the next step is to record the voiceover and create the sound design for the video. This includes selecting music and sound effects that will enhance the video, as well as recording the voiceover narration.
Revisions: I worked closely with the team to review drafts and implement any changes until we reached a final version of the video that accomplished our goal.
Conclusion
Upon completion, the video was integrated into the About page of Brevity & Wit's website, alongside the introduction to the company. This strategic placement allowed the motion graphic video to serve as an engaging and visually captivating element to the written content, effectively conveying the company's core message and value proposition to website visitors.
